Who is God?

To me, God is everything. But mostly, he is the divine light that appears whenever I feel trapped in a world of uncertainty, turmoil and suffering. He shows me the way out of all of the madness, and leads me to a place of calmness.

He is the shining bright light at the end of a dark and long tunnel. When everyone has abandoned me, he is by my side giving me comfort and hope. He continues to have faith in me, when everyone else has given up on me. He knows of all of my fears and sufferings, and listens patiently to all I have to say. He is the lighthouse that lights my path; and the North Star that helps me find my way back home.

The drawing above was created when I was feeling emotionally stressed out. I decided to close my eyes and release, on paper, all of the stress and anxiety that I was experiencing inside. When I finished, I had a paper covered with lines going in all directions. As I continued to closely examine the drawing, I noticed two figures in the center. I realized then that in my darkest moment I was not alone.

I believe that the large figure to the right represents a divine spiritual being who appears to be sitting and comforting me. The smaller figure to the left represents me seeking guidance.

Besides the two main figures, other smaller figures appeared in the drawing.

In addition to letting go of inner thoughts and emotions, this exercise allowed me to connect with my higher self.

Always remember that in moments of darkness, we are not alone. Have faith, and He will show you the way out of the darkness and into the light.
