Jesus Christ -My Guiding Light

My desire to paint a picture of Jesus Christ commenced recently. One day, while driving, I had a vision. The image of Jesus, as seen on the left, began to manifest itself. It was not until the middle of this spiritual inspiration to paint Jesus Christ that I realized that the figure that I was painting was similar to the one I had seen in my dream many years ago- see My First Encounter With Yemaya Through A Spiritual Dream Spiritual Dreams. Moreover, it became apparent to me that Jesus was the guiding light who directed me to the path to Yemaya.

My interpretation of the spiritual painting of Jesus is the following: Due to the dark times we are experiencing (natural disasters, war, poverty, etc.), Jesus Christ is trying to tell us that He is here for us. He is ready to guide us out of the darkness and into the light. All we need to do is have faith. The yellow, orange and green colors, on the side of the painting, represent love, warmth and protection coming down from the heavens to us; the dove represents purity; and the Virgin Mary represents hope and faith. I decided to add the Virgin Mary after reminiscing on my trip to Lourdes, France- see Spiritual Place -Lourdes, France, A Place Of Miracles.

As mentioned previously, prayer is an important communicative tool- see Jesus Christ -My Spiritual Master And Guiding Light. There are a myriad of prayers dedicated to Jesus that people utilize everyday. Even though these prayers are beneficial, it can not be compared to your personal creation. When the words come from within, the impact is more powerful and meaningful. I believe that the best prayer is the one that comes from the heart. Each time we speak to Jesus or God, we are composing our own personal prayer. Everyone has this ability. All you need is to open up your heart and allow the words and emotions to come out. Recently, I was speaking to a woman who was seeking spiritual advice. When I told her to open up her heart and speak to Jesus, she said, "I don't know how." I was amazed at her response. She was capable of attending a social gathering and speaking to total strangers, but she was unable to speak to Jesus Christ. After speaking with her for awhile, I realized that she was living in total darkness and was a captive in her own personal bondage of suffering.

For those who are captive in their own personal bondage of suffering, lack spiritual inspiration, and don't know how to communicate with Jesus, here is a prayer for you to read:

Prayer In Time Of Suffering

Behold me, my beloved Jesus, weighted down under the burden of my trials and sufferings, I cast myself at Your Feet, that You may renew my strength and courage, while I rest here in Your presence. Permit me to lay down my cross in Your Sacred Heart, for only Your Infinite goodness can sustain me; only Your Love can help me bear my cross; Only Your powerful hand can lighten its weight.

O Divine King Jesus, whose heart is so compassionate to the afflicted, I wish to live in You, suffer and die in You. During my life be my model and my support. At the hour of my death, be my hope and my refuge...............Amen (Author Unknown)
